Fresh dough made in-house daily. Craft beer & Kentucky bourbon on tap. Five locations across Central Kentucky — voted Best Pizza in Madison County five years running.
Apollo opened its doors on South 2nd Street in 1981, a short walk from Eastern Kentucky University — handmade pizza, made the honest way. Forty-five years later it has never left, and it has never changed what matters: dough made by hand every single morning, and recipes that still taste like 1981.
Today Apollo is owned by Richmond locals — led by attorney and author Wesley Browne — who bought the pizzeria to keep a beloved institution exactly what it has always been. Same dough. Same recipes. More places to find it.
“We wanted to keep the life, legacy and pride of the original Apollo going.”

Apollo's Beer & Bourbon Emporium pairs every fresh slice with rotating craft taps and Kentucky's finest bourbon — the reason a pizza night turns into a night out.

Rotating taps of Kentucky breweries and national craft favorites — always something new on draft. Gluten-free options, too.

A curated shelf of the Commonwealth's finest — neat, on the rocks, or in a classic cocktail. We know our whiskey.

The one thing that never changes: dough made by hand, in-house, every single day. It's why the crust tastes like 1981.
From the original downtown spot to taprooms across Central Kentucky — great pizza is never far.
